A witch ball is a hollow sphere of glass, filled with herbs and crystals. Historically, witch balls were hung in cottage windows in 17th and 18th century England to ward off evil spirits, witches, evil spells, and ill fortune. Yule marks the Winter Solstice, and the start of the 12 day midwinter festival. On this, the longest night of the year, we celebrate the return of the sun and new beginnings.
 
In our YULE witch ball, we've combined juniper berries (purification) with mugwort (consecration), mistletoe(life in the midst of death), cedar & cinnamon (protection), pine (immortality and resiliance) and rosemary (remembrance).
